Cwm V Corus
CWM V CORUS—10 October 2009
Cwm’s poor home start to the season continued as Corus won only their second ever game at Parc y Bryn, running in four tries in the process to take away a deserved bonus point victory.
Cwm started well and were camped in Corus’ half for long periods but a breakaway by the steelmen led to a long distance try and conversion by Robinson. Cwm hit back with a Paul Davies penalty to leave the home side 7-3 down at the break.
Further penalties by outside half Ricky Thomas gave Cwm the lead early in the second half but then the Blues lost direction with Corus running in tries by former Cwm player Gav Longford and a last minute effort by Davies to round off a fine day’s work for the visitors and Cwm still searching for a point at home.
Final Score: Cwm 9 Corus 27
